THIS IS THE “ZODIAC”: The infamous serial killer has finally been identified – 40 detectives are chasing him

SERIAL killer, nicknamed “Zodiac”, finally identified after 50 years , claims a group of detectives and journalists.

As they say, Gary Francis Post terrorized the citizens of San Francisco in the 1960s, however, he died in 2018.

He killed at least 5 people, but boasted that he was behind 37 murders.

A team of investigators, made up of about 40 detectives and reporters, claims that the Post had scars on his forehead that matched the drawings of the Zodiac.

Jen Buckholz, a former military counterintelligence agent who deals with “cold” cases, told Fox News that the clues that led to the Post were found in the records of the serial killer. They removed the letters from the Post’s name and so a certain message was revealed.

– You should have known Gary’s full name to decipher the anagrams. I don’t think there was any other way to find out – she said.

, The Post was also responsible for the murder of Cherry Joe Bates on October 31, 1966 in Riverside, California, which is hundreds of kilometers away from the location where the first Zodiac murder took place, two years earlier.

A teenager (18) was found dead on the street of the Riverside City College campus.

The following year, the authorities received a handwritten letter that led investigators to believe the crime could have been linked to the Zodiac. In 2016, the police received an anonymous letter from someone who admitted that he had written the previous letter in jest. It was later determined that the sender was not involved in the murder of Jerry Joe and that the Zodiac was never connected to that murder. However, the mentioned team believes that Bates was the sixth victim of the Zodiac.

This last discovery happened a few months after which the Frenchman Faichal Ziraui claimed to have deciphered the infamous Zodiac messages in just 14 days, although experts are struggling to decipher them for more than 50 years.

He started his adventure when he read an article in a French magazine about how no one was able to decipher the codes of the serial killer.

He used several decryption “keys” that became available last December, as well as a number of decryption tactics, including a program he says he developed himself. However, when he shared his knowledge on the Internet, many ridiculed him, saying that they could not believe it at all.

He allegedly managed to find out the coordinates of the school where the killer planted the bomb, but also his name. He came up with the letter “KAYR” which is why he thought the Zodiac was a certain Lawrence Kay, who was suspected of crimes for a while, but nothing was ever proven.

However, the mystery continued.

) There are several things that connect Bates and Post. The post was a veteran of the Air Force when he went for medical examinations, due to an armed incident, in a hospital located 15 minutes away from the crime scene. A watch believed to have belonged to the killer was found at the site.

Also, detectives found the footprint of the sole of a military boot, which matched the footprints of shoes at other crime scenes related to the Zodiac. The first murder that was officially connected to the Zodiac happened in December 1968, when a man and a woman were shot in a car in Benisia, California. Another couple was shot on July 4 of the following year, and the man survived. Later that year, the couple was stabbed near the lake, and the man also survived, despite serious injuries.

A taxi driver was killed in San Francisco in 1969.

A woman who lived next to the Post and his wife said she believed he was a Zodiac after seeing the evidence gathered. As she said, the couple looked after her in the 70s and 80s, when she was a child, and the Post taught her how to handle a firearm several times a week. He was very aggressive towards his wife, she said.

– He lived a double life. Now that I’m older, some things are clearer to me – she stated.
