The holidays are almost over, but don’t be disappointed: the first long weekend of 2022 is near.
The calendar of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) for the 2021-2022 school year establishes that students will return to classes on Monday, January 3, but after the end-of-year vacation period, students of basic education (preschool, primary and secondary) will have a day off next Thursday, January 6. What is this about? Because that day is considered a holiday for 24.6 million students and almost two million people who work in the education sector.
When does the first bridge in 2022 fall?
Reviewing the official calendar, it can be seen that the first bridge will be next February , due to the commemoration of the Mexican Constitution Day, which is officially on February 5, but which is covered at Monday 7. In such a way that the first bridge of 2022 begins on Saturday 5 and ends on Monday February 7. However, before those dates, students will have a few days off. The first of them will be on Friday, January 28, when the School Technical Council will be held, so basic education students will not attend classes.
Another opportunity, another opportunity
If you cannot put together a plan for the first bridge of 2022, you can save and take a getaway on the second bridge of the year. That second bridge will be Saturday 19 to Monday 21 March, thanks to the celebration of the birthday of Benito Juárez. Almost a month later, the SEP has scheduled the Easter holidays, which are from Monday, April 11 to Friday, April 22. In addition, on Thursday, May 5, work will be suspended for the commemoration of the Battle of Puebla.
