Tiger Baby Records Unveils ‘Dance With Me,’ a Funky Collaboration with SoBo House of Music

Tiger Baby Records, known for its bold releases, is now venturing into a new sonic territory with its latest offering, Dance With Me. This six-track EP, a collaboration with Mumbai-based music school SoBo House of Music, dives headfirst into the realms of disco and funk, showcasing the talents of six vibrant young voices. 

Following the success of their previous releases, including Baccha Kisko Bol Raha Hai and the hip-hop EP featuring rising stars Saniya MQ and Kavikaar, Tiger Baby Records continues to push boundaries with Dance With Me. Partnering with Platoon Music, an Apple-owned entity specializing in artist services and music distribution, this EP marks the label’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent across diverse genres. 

Released earlier this month, Dance With Me has been crafted by SoBo House of Music’s instructors Stephen Fernandes, Bradley Tellis, Garth D’mello, and Nathan D’souza – seasoned musicians and educators – the EP delivers a collection of infectious, groove-laden tracks brought to life by the youthful exuberance of Divisha Khandelwal, Annika Nair, Shriya Rao, Sana Lamba, Anaisha Chaudhary and Soha Koradia. 

Dance With Me transports listeners on a nostalgic journey, evoking memories of disco balls, vibrant hues, and satin ensembles. Each track pulsates with energy, inviting audiences to lose themselves in the rhythm. The young vocalists imbue their performances with a confidence and flair, drawing inspiration from icons like Ella Fitzgerald and Taylor Swift while infusing their renditions with a modern twist. 

Ankur Tewari, co-founder and creative director of Tiger Baby Records, sheds light on the EP’s creative genesis, he said in a statement, “When we asked some kids what they love dancing to, a bunch of them said ABBA and Disco Deewaane by Nazia Hasan. In a statement, Fernandes, founder SoBo House of Music, said, “When the opportunity arose to collaborate with Tiger Baby Records on something as exciting as this, we were all in.” He added, “We consider ourselves truly grateful to be able to produce and showcase the young talent we’ve been nurturing over the years.” 

Dance With Me is available on all major streaming platforms, inviting listeners to embrace the joy of dance and revel in the beats of disco and funk. With its seamless fusion of retro nostalgia and contemporary flair, this EP promises to captivate audiences of all ages and set the dance floor ablaze with its infectious rhythms.
