Tom Holland soothed Jake Gyllenhaal during shooting Spider-Man: Away from Home

Not everyone needs super powers to help others, a statement that can be confirmed by Tom Holland, the current Spider-Man of cinemas. Without great powers, the star acted with great responsibility when helping his colleague Jake Gyllenhaal during the recordings of Spider-Man: Away from Home.

This backstage story was revealed by Gyllenhaal himself in an interview with Howard Stern. Asked about the difficulty of acting in Marvel movies, the star admitted that this was not an easy task:

  • “It’s hard, man. That kind of acting is difficult because it’s a huge world. And I entered it in the middle of a race, with the train in motion. I usually join at the beginning to be able to understand them.”

As an example of this difficulty, Jake Gyllenhaal cited the first day of filming. The actor reported difficulty remembering his own lines, which led him to ask Spider-Man himself for help:

“I remember that on the first day of recording…. (laughs) I couldn’t remember my lines, I got stuck and they were like ‘wow’. So I came to Tom Holland saying ‘dude, help me’. And he said ‘it’s alright man. Just chill’. It was like he was me in a lot of situations. So I finally got it.”
