2023 was such a phenomenal year for video game releases. And 2024 seems like it’s going to continue all of the positive moves the industry has made. January isn’t typically the best month for game releases. Everyone’s broke from Christmas, and publishers often wait until February until they make any moves. But there are some great games getting released, including two monster titles at the end of the month. Our January runner-up is the Last of Us Part II Remake. The Last of Us is a major franchise, but this title is a runner-up because PS5 owners already have access to the PS4 version of The Last of Us Part II. Another Code: Recollection consists of Another Code: Two Memories (originally for the DS) and Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories (originally for the Wii). Both games have lots of puzzles and bizarre mystery narratives. This collection is a special treat for North American fans of Another Code: Two Memories, because Another Code: R hasn’t been released in North America before. 4. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy – January 25
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is the last major chunk of the Ace Attorney games missing on modern consoles. We have the original Phoenix Wright Trilogy, and the newer Great Ace Attorney Chronicles collection already. But in the middle of those two collections, is a trilogy of visual novels with a different protagonist, Apollo Justice. This collection will be a must play for all Ace Attorney fans. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy will be available for PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
