Tottenham travel to Leeds on Saturday as their tumultuous season in the Premier League continues.
A magnificent victory at Manchester City was followed up by a poor defeat to Burnley in midweek, with Antonio Conte threatening to walk from his position as manager after their fourth defeat in five games.
They face a Leeds side with their own problems, having recorded the worst defensive record in the division with 56 goals conceded from 25 games.
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Hugo Lloris (GK) – Has been a little wobbly of late, making costly mistakes against Wolves and Manchester City.
Cristian Romero (CB) – One of Tottenham’s better performers against Burnley, though he was beaten in the air by Ben Mee for the decisive goal.
Eric Dier (CB) – Back in the team after a prolonged period out with injury. A much calmer presence than either Davinson Sanchez or Japhet Tanganga.
Ben Davies (CB) – Fills the left-sided centre back spot more naturally than anyone else in Spurs’ squad.
2. Midfielders & wing backs
Matt Doherty (RWB) – With Emerson Royal being toothless in recent games, Doherty may be given just his third league start of the season.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) – Could be rotated out for Harry Winks, but he’s probably better suited to dealing with Leeds’ frantic style of play than the Englishman.
Rodrigo Bentancur (CM) – Starting to assert himself in Spurs’ starting lineup following his January move from Juventus.
Sergio Reguilon (LWB) – Came down with Covid-19 and hasn’t played since the 3-2 defeat to Southampton.
3. Forwards
Lucas Moura (RW) – May be rotated in for Dejan Kulusevski in the supporting role to Kane and Son.
Harry Kane (ST) – Dropped an incredible performance at Man City and was the only player who looked capable of breaking Burnley down in midweek.
Son Heung-min (LW) – The South Korean has been Tottenham’s most dangerous attacker so far this season, registering a combined 14 goal contributions in the league.
