Trump Organization Investigations into Trump’s company: Ex-President and his children Ivanka and Donald Jr. summoned
Since Years ago, the New York attorney general was investigating ex-President Donald Trump. He defends himself with all legal means so as not to have to testify in court.
In the course of an investigation into the business practices of the Trump Organization, the New York Attorney General has appointed former US President Donald Trump and two more of his children were summoned. Trump, his daughter Ivanka and his son Donald Jr. should testify and produce documents in court, the office of Attorney General Letitia James urged in a motion that was made public on Monday.
The investigation is about whether the Trump Organization misrepresented the value of real estate to banks and taxes in order to gain advantages. Neither the Trumps nor James were initially available for comment.
That James wants to oblige ex-President Trump to make a statement, it became known in December. The fact that the investigators also want to question Ivanka and Donald Jr. is new, however. Son Eric Trump had also been summoned last year and finally had to testify by order of the judge.
It can be assumed that the Trumps will also take legal action against the new summons. The ex-president also sued James in December to force an end to their investigation. He accused the Democrat that the investigation violated his constitutional rights and was an attempt to publicly slander him and his business partners.

“Your mission is guided exclusively by political hostility and a desire to harass, intimidate and take revenge on a private citizen whom you consider to be a political opponent,” wrote the Trump lawyers.
James has spent over two years investigating whether the Trump Organization has misled banks or tax officials about the value of real estate – puffed them up to get cheap loan terms, or minimized them to save taxes.
James’ civil investigation is separate from the Manhattan District Attorney’s criminal investigation into which Trump Organization’s longtime CFO Allen Weisselberg was charged with tax fraud last July. Weisselberg denied the allegations.
James’s investigation involves the Trump property in Seven Springs, an office building in New York, a hotel in Chicago and a golf course near Los Angeles.
