Turkey closed its border crossings to Iranian trucks against the backdrop of tension on the Iranian border Rania of Azerbaijan, which led to the complete cessation of commercial traffic between the two neighbors.

Tensions escalated between Azerbaijan and Iran on the border between them

, after Baku stopped Iranian trucks transporting fuel to the regions of Armenia in Karabakh .

Amid this tension, Iran announced the military maneuver “Khaybar Fathi” on the border with Azerbaijan, the first since the fall of the Soviet Union, at a time when Iran accused Azerbaijan of establishing an Israeli base on its borders, which Baku denied.

Observers said that the maneuver is an Iranian show of force on the borders of Azerbaijan to discourage cooperation with Israel.

These developments coincide with military reports indicating US-Israeli preparations to destroy facilities in Iran that may be linked to the development of an atomic bomb. Read also –

Turkish official: Ankara supports Azerbaijan in its dispute with Iran and may play the role of mediator between them.

has Those reports suggested that the strike would be launched from the territory of Azerbaijan, which was described as an ideal platform to direct it, because the Israeli Air Force raid from the Jewish state seems difficult due to the long distance. The attack from US aircraft carriers in the Gulf also has significant negatives.

On his part, Dr. said. Hadi Afqi, the former Iranian diplomat from Tehran, said that

“What is happening between Iran on one side and Turkey and Azerbaijan on the other is A conspiracy against Iran, noting that it is related to competition over gas routes in this important region to Europe, and this Turkish-Azerbaijani conspiracy is intended to besiege Iran economically to push it to compromise on the nuclear negotiating table.

And Afqi added that “Azerbaijan is trying to strengthen the Zionist enemy through military bases and declared military support, thinking that this will provide security for it in the middle of Baku. This region is because Azerbaijan is a weak country.”

The former Iranian diplomat pointed out that

The Iranian military maneuver “Fateh Khaybar” was a warning message to Ilham Aliyev so that the Zionist enemy would not take another Khyber from Azerbaijan, and Iran has many other options. Not the least of which is diplomacy.

As for Muhammad al-Madhaji, who specializes in Iranian affairs from London, he says that

“The issue of striking Iranian nuclear facilities is unlikely from our point of view Ray, and this matter is being promoted by an Iranian for negotiating purposes,” noting that “if America were to strike Iran and its nuclear facilities, it would have struck it during the era of Trump, who withdrew from the nuclear agreement.”

Al-Madhaji added that “the tension on the borders is related to Iran’s desire to create a strategic corridor towards the Black Sea, a competitor to another Turkish corridor, aiming to be a gathering point for trade with Europe.”

Al-Madhaji pointed out that these disputes related to other matters are “used by Iran well to push its regional allies to talk about Israel striking its nuclear facilities, which are far from what is happening.” , adding that the Israeli presence in Azerbaijan has existed for thirty years, so why talk about it now?

Dr. pointed out. Bashir Abdel-Fattah, a specialist in Turkish affairs at the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, noted that

“Israel’s threat to Iranian nuclear facilities is a matter of We cannot rule it out, noting that Turkey does not want to lose either Azerbaijan or Iran, which is likely to overcome this tension through Russia. More details in today’s episode of “Boudhah”.
