The body of the elderly person identified as Antônio Rodrigues de Souza, 78 years old, was found in a residence on Rua Vicente Fontoura, Mariana neighborhood, east sector of Porto Velho this Sunday afternoon (03).

According to witnesses , the victim had been seen when he was setting off fireworks around 01:30 am today, waking up the neighbors, and a short time later was found moaning on the ground. The next day, he spent the day moaning in his house.

This afternoon, the worried witnesses went to the place and found the elderly unconscious sitting in a chair with a knife and bloodstains on the floor, consequently they called the Military Police and Samu, where the death was found.

According to the witnesses, the elderly man had disagreements with the neighbors due to his temper.

Teams from the Forensics, Rabecão and Agents from the Homicide Precinct were on site for the usual work, then the body was removed to the IML. The case is under investigation.
