USA, gas storage increases beyond expectations

(Teleborsa) – Weekly gas storage in the USA grew slightly more than expected. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) , a division of the US Department of Energy, gas storage in the week ending September 24, 2021 , increased by 88 BCF (billion cubic feet).

The figure is higher than the consensus (+87 BCF). The week before there had been a growth of 76 BCF.

The total inventories therefore rose to 3.170 billion feet cubic, resulting in a decrease of 15.4% compared to a year ago (when they were equal to 3,745) and a decrease of 6.3% compared to the average of the last five years (3,383 BCF).
