USR calls on Klaus Iohannis not to delay, in response to the president’s announcement to convene consultations with the parties only next week to nominate a new candidate for prime minister.
“The USR National Bureau noted with unpleasant surprise that President Klaus Iohannis allowed the hasty, chaotic and ill-conceived actions of the former prime minister Florin Cîțu, by which he removed USR from the government, but he is not in a hurry to organize consultations with the parties.
It is obvious that the rapid organization of consultations and the appointment of a prime minister capable of creating a majority are the only way to quickly resolve this political crisis. This cannot be Florin Cîțu, who has just shown that he is capable of creating a majority in Parliament, but against him, not for a functioning government.
USR PLUS urges the President of Romania not to waste time and to mediate politically this crisis. He should have done that a month ago “, USR reports
