Rossi confessed to being “overjoyed” at joining the WRT, the GTWEC title champion team (absolute and in both categories) and will compete in both the Endurance Cup and Sprint Cup.
“Everyone knows that I was always a big fan of car racing and I was always interested in racing on four wheels when my MotoGP career came to an end. Now I am fully available to dedicate myself to a high level car racing program with the right professional approach. WRT is the right choice and I look forward to starting this new GTWCE adventure with them.”
The official GTWCE tests will take place in March in France and the 10-round championship starts in Imola Italy on April 1st.
