The promotion of Venom 2 (Venom: Let There Be Carnage) is in full swing as the director, Andy Serkis, promises a meeting with Spider-Man . Despite the cold reception (by the press) of Venom, Sony quickly started this sequel in the face of commercial success. And in this feature film, Eddie Brock and the symbiote will learn to live together, as a couple. Andy Serkis even speaks of a love affair between them , unable to live separately. And while plenty of videos have already been unveiled, a new Venom 2 featurette lingers on the murderous romance between Carnage and Frances Barrison / Shriek.
The video, posted on Twitter and visible below, warns viewers: “Be careful, you will want to wear a helmet when you are near her. This is Shriek. ”
Shriek can explode eardrums with his ability to suck sound and use it as a weapon.

A new antagonist in Venom 2
Carnage has Despite being Venom’s main enemy, the symbiote is not alone and relies on Shriek. A supervillain who can suck sound and then use it as a weapon. In the video, Andy Serkis explains that it “can be really dangerous, which is why we kept it in a box in Ravencroft for 25 years.”
Andy Serkis says also that Shriek “only cares about one human, that’s Cletus,” namely the host of Carnage. The director develops: “She is twisted like him, they are ready to do anything to find each other (…) They are so funny and terrifyingly terrifying.”
Cletus appears for the first time in Amazing Spider-Man # 344 in March 1991. It was a year later, in Amazing Spider-Man # 361, that the serial killer became the host of Carnage. Shriek has other powerful powers like emotional manipulation and levitation.
In the comics, Carnage and Shriek also had children (Doppelganger, Demogoblin and Carrion) in Maximum Carnage. The characters form a powerful and murderous couple.
It remains to be seen how Venom 2 will develop this very surprising but above all very dangerous duo. Eddie Brock and his symbiote face tough opponents.
