Maria Tsancarova has been part of the bTV team since 2013. Her name ranks among the best investigative and political journalists in Bulgaria, and over the years she has established herself as a strong presenter of current affairs programs on bTV and highlighted her talent as an author and presenter of the series “180 degrees” in the show “120 minutes”. .
He has won numerous awards, including an award from the Radostina Konstantinova Foundation (2013), an award from the Valya Krushkina Foundation (2014), a prize of NBU “Journalist of the Year” (2014), award for television journalism “Saint Vlas” (2020), the recognition by the Union of Bulgarian Journalists for the best “Young Journalist” (2020), as well as the award “Journalist of the year” the BHC (2020).
In the difficult year for the whole world in 2020, the team of bTV News also chose Maria Tsancarova as “Reporter of the Year” in its traditional annual competition. She graduated in journalism at Sofia University, as well as a master’s degree in management at the New Bulgarian University.
From the current autumn TV season Maria Tsancarova is in a new role – as one of the hosts of the Sunday edition of “This Saturday and Sunday”, where the journalist summarizes the most important current topics of the week and shows the different points of view with the main participants in the socio-political life in our country.
