After two consecutive draws, Paris Saint-Germain returned this Saturday to winning ways in Ligue 1, triumphing in the reception to Brest (2-0), in a game of the 21st round.
Nuno Mendes was a starter for the Parisians, and one of the highlights of Mauricio Pochettino’s team. But here we go.
Without Messi and Neymar, it was Kylian Mbappé who took the lead to open the way for PSG to win: in the 32nd minute, the French prodigy made it 1-0 with a well-placed shot.
Then, yes, it was Nuno Mendes’ moment of genius – and already with Danilo on the pitch. The left-back on loan from Sporting, as they say, «broke his kidneys» to an opponent and assisted Kehrer for the final 2-0, in the 53rd minute.
With this result, PSG comfortably leads the French league, with 11 points more than the runner-up, Nice. Brest is in 13th place.
In the other game of the day, Lens won away to Saint-Étienne, by 2-1.
