Vivo is readying its next big launch in the mid-range segment in India. The company confirmed through a social media campaign on Thursday that it will unveil the live v27 series soon. A few days ago, Flipkart also added a microsite for the Vivo V27 on its website, suggesting that the Vivo V27 would be available on the e-commerce platform for purchase after its launch.
Vivo’s recent poster reveals a curved edge and a triple camera setup at the back. The V27 series is also likely to consist of multiple variants. Although the poster only mentions ‘Coming Soon’, a tipster claims that the series is likely to arrive by the end of February.
Vivo V27 Pro May Launch in India First
Although Vivo has only mentioned its V27 series in the poster, the company will probably launch the Vivo V27 Pro in India first. As per a tip-off by a Twitter tipster, Gadgetsdata, the vanilla V27 could launch later, whereas the V27 Pro will likely launch on February 25 in India. There’s also the Vivo V27e as part of the series, which will launch later.
Rumors suggest that the Vivo V27 series could be based on the Vivo S16 series launched in China in December last year. As per earlier reports, the Vivo V27 Pro could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. All three smartphones in the series have surfaced on various certification websites, confirming their existence.
If the V27 Pro is indeed the Vivo S17 Pro, then we can more or less predict what spectifications the smartphone would come with. It would have a color-changing rear panel and a 6.78-inch AMOLED HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone could be available with 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB storage.
As for the cameras, the Vivo V27 Pro could feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, along with a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the front would be a 16MP selfie camera housed in the punch-hole cutout in the display. Lastly, the smartphone could feature a 4600mAh battery with 66W fast charging out of the box.
