Feeeeeling… so good today…
Happy Saturday, happy weekend, happy 2022, and welcome to Whatcha Been Playing? The year might be new, but I’m a creature of habit, and as long as I’m here, the Saturday morning beat goes on. Why not? This is a fine gathering for a fine community, after all. And if well over 250 comments can be earned on a holiday of all days, then I must be doing something right.
I hope that the year has gotten off to a good start for you and yours, (yes, I know it’s merely days old) and that the days, weeks, and months ahead will bring you happiness, friendship, love, and success. Or at least good cake. In fact, make that a priority.
In terms of my personal gaming, I just can’t quit you, Hades. Oh sure, over the holiday period I’ve been bouncing around plenty of excellent releases from 2021. But, when it comes to the crunch, I just can’t not hang out with Zag, Meg, Than, Cereberus, much gurl Artemis, and, of course, the mighty Dusa. Supergiant Games really struck gold with this release, and it’s great seeing more and more people jump on board well over a year after Hades‘ initial launch. Talk about longevity.
Aside from gaming, I’ve rolled through an abundance of movies old and new, including Shang Chi, Kickboxer, The Dead Pool, Trilogy of Terror, Dillinger, Dune, and The Final Programme. I put in a particularly poor showing with movies last year, and thus I’m determined to make up for it in 2022… You gotta have some goals, right?
Before I get back to work and you get back to your weekend. It’s time to open the mic to all of you within our ace community. Jump into the comments and fill us in on the games that have gotten your year off to a (hopefully) roaring start. They don’t have to be new. They don’t even have to be Hades. We just want to hear whatcha been playing. You’ll be very surprised how many readers you will inspire with your recommendations, warnings, and hottest of takes.
