Will Google Pay soon become Google Wallet again?

Google Pay once again faces a new future. The last major conversion has not even reached us to date. A future as a virtual wallet could bring further changes.

The future of Google Pay is unclear.

This applies to the range of functions.

And maybe for the entire product in its current form.

Google Pay has only existed in its current form since 2018. In previous years, Google first had the Google Wallet since 2011 and later led to contactless payments for smartphones Android Pay one. Later the mentioned merging four years ago. Since then Google Pay has been in an identity crisis and now probably before the next conversion.

Google is now planning again for a new future away from its own bank accounts to offer a pure mobile wallet for Android phones. For this you have recently bought high-ranking people, such as Arnold Goldberg from PayPal. Google resets its strategy and works towards a new future. Even cryptocurrencies should then play a role .

Google Pay may not last forever

Bloomberg wrote that Google is planning a real wallet again. We should be able to store currencies and passports of all kinds in it. Which makes it quite realistic that Google could think of a name change again. We stand therefore before a comeback from Google Wallet?
