The finalists of the Develop: Brighton Indie Showcase, D’Avekki Studios , best known for their FMV games, today revealed that their next game will be a mystery game with great replayability taking place in a procedurally generated 3D art gallery .
Murderous Muses allows players to explore a cursed gallery where mysterious rooms appear at night and portraits come to life – exposing the conversations and events that took place before the murder of controversial artist Mordechai Gray.
“The dream of a lifetime has been to create an FMV adventure in a 3D environment , since playing Under a Killing Moon and Phantasmagoria in the 90s ″ , said Tim Cowles, director of D’Avekki Studios. “So we’re excited to bring our otherworldly stories to life in a new setting, and we also hope to deliver a VR experience to match. »
The announcement is accompanied by a teaser trailer and a Steam page where players can wish the game, with a release planned on PC and consoles end of 2022 .
