Wolfsburg Kulübünden yapılan açıklamada, Union Berlin‘de oynayan Kruse’nin 5,5 yıl sonra Wolfsburg’a döneceği belirtildi.
Açıklamada, 33 yaşındaki futbolcunun sağlık kontrolünden sonra yarın 30 Haziran 2023’e kadar sürecek bir sözleşmeye imza atacağı ifade edildi.
Açıklamada görüşlerine yer verilen Kruse, Wolfsburg’a katılmak için sabırsızlandığını ve takıma yardım etmek için elinden geleni yapacağını belirterek, “Wolfsburg’a geri dönüyorum çünkü ortak hikayemiz henüz sonuna kadar yazılmadı. Neyle karşılaşacağımı biliyorum ve bu meydan okumayı kabul ediyorum.” değerlendirmesinde bulundu.
2015-2016 sezonunda Wolfsburg’da forma giyen Max Kruse, 2019-2020 sezonunda da Fenerbahçe‘de oynadı, ardından Union Berlin’e transfer oldu.
Kruse, Bundesliga‘da ayrıca Freiburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach ve Werder Bremen‘de forma giydi ve 288 maçta 90 gol attı.
