Woman who couldn't have children gets pregnant and takes her husband to Jesus: “Wonderful gift”

Prasad and his wife were born in India and were very poor. Seeking a better life for their family, they went to Kuwait work as domestic servants.

Later, the wife became pregnant, but the employer of the house, where they lived and worked, had forbidden the couple to have children. So Prasad bought pills to have an abortion.

Soon after, the couple left that job for a new one. A few months later, Prasad’s wife became pregnant again, but when they consulted the doctor, they discovered that the mother had developed a cancerous tumor in the uterus.

O couple lost their second child and the doctor informed that the wife had become sterile and it would be impossible to get pregnant again. “We have lost hope. We were desperate,” Prasad told the Bible Society.

The man started to work 12 hours a day, seven days a week, to save money to pay for treatment for his wife. At that time, the couple shared an apartment with a Christian family.

“They prayed for us. Thanks, but we didn’t understand what it meant. After a few weeks, my wife started going to church with them. I allowed it only to make her happy”, said Prasad.

Receiving the news of two miracles )

After four months that the wife was going to church, the husband took her for routine exams and the couple was surprised by two miracles. “The doctor informed us that the tumor was gone and that my wife was pregnant! It was so amazing that my wife became a Christian, because she believed that Jesus had done the miracle,” Prasad recalled.

The woman invited him to go to worship with her, and Prasad accepted only to please her. However, he was not interested in the Gospel. After a few months, the Indian got a job in the town of Wafra.

There, he met the extremely poor reality of the workers and was surprised by the Bible study meetings they held and how happy they seemed, despite their miserable situation. Prasad began to participate in the meetings and got to know the Word of God.

“I remembered our miracle baby. I realized how Jesus helped me and changed my life and gave me a wonderful gift: my first baby. The words of the Bible touched my heart and I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I felt like I became a new person,” testified the man.

Prasad was discipled in the local church in a Bible Society project. Later, the couple returned to India and Prasad’s family opposed his conversion to Christianity, even threatening him with death.

Feeling that God was calling him to ministry, Prasad studied theology in India and soon after, returned to Kuwait, an Islamic country, now as a missionary. He planted churches in two cities where he previously worked and now serves Christians in the country.
