J umbo Supermarkets has been a partner of the speed skating and cycling teams Team Jumbo-Visma since 2015 . On Thursday, the Van Eerd family received two unique anniversary jerseys from the team: a cycling jersey and a skating suit.
Richard Plugge, Managing Director of the Jumbo-Visma team, thinks it’s great that their teams can honor Jumbo’s Jubilee in this special way. “We are very proud of Jumbo and we want to surprise our loyal partner with this unique gift. They deserve it, because a centenary is a very special time. We are happy and proud to be able, with our teams of cyclists and skaters, to be part of the history of this great sporting family business. The Jumbo-Visma team owes a lot to the support of Jumbo. The Van Eerd family and CFO Ton van Veen are partly responsible for the current success of our teams. We look forward to continuing to win together for a long time and building new unforgettable moments. “
The Jumbo-Visma team thanks the UCI “for its cooperation and the exemption granted for this special occasion”.
