Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra will be the brand’s first smartphones to run Android 12

If you own either the Xiaomi phones, you’ll be glad to know that you’ll be beating owners of other Xiaomi phones to the punch in getting the Android 12 OS update.

Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra will be the brand's first smartphones to run Android 12 30

The devices listed by Xiaomi include the Xiaomi Mi 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Ultra; as well as the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro+.

The latter two are rebranded as the Poco F3 series here in Malaysia, but there’s no word if they will receive the update or not.

There’s also no set date for when the Android 12 update will actually arrive, or how the new MIUI will look like – so we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for an announcement to be made.

On a side note, OPPO has confirmed that their upcoming ColorOS 12 will arrive this October 11, while realme will unveil their realme UI 3.0 this October 12. This also comes after Google announced the launch event of their Pixel 6 smartphones slated to happen this 20 October; this matters because these devices will be the first to sport the new OS.
