Yörsan’s largest milk and dairy products factory in Balıkesir, for which a trustee was appointed in 2019 and a bankruptcy decision was made, goes on sale on January 17.
Yörsan was acquired by the United Arab Emirates-based The Abraaj Group in 2014.
The company transferred its funds from Turkey to the USA in 2018. Sold it to Colony Capital. Then, he declared a concordat due to the economic problems he experienced.
A trustee was appointed in 2019. On 10 July 2020, Yörsan’s bankruptcy request was accepted at the Susurluk Civil Court of First Instance. Yörsan will go on sale on 17/01/2022, pursuant to the Bankruptcy Decision No. 2020/1 of the Susurluk Enforcement and Bankruptcy Office.

Yörsan was first established in 1964 as Yörükler Gıda Limited Şirketi. The company took the name Yörsan A.Ş after the factory built in 1984 with the purchase of a dairy farm in Susurluk in 1979. started pasteurized milk production and culture cheese making. It provided employment to hundreds of people. By purchasing the milk of thousands of producers, it contributed to the farmers in Balıkesir region.
WAS EXPORTING TO MORE THAN 20 COUNTRIES
Mainly was exporting dairy products including milk, cheese, ayran, butter, cream and cream to more than 20 countries including USA, Japan, TRNC and Middle East countries.
