Therefore, we downloaded the mobile application and tried to request rides within Ostrava and Pilsen. We can therefore confirm that the service is actually available in both of these cities.

Uber in Ostrava and Pilsen

Although Ostrava is larger (284,982 inhabitants and an area of ​​214.23 km²) than Pilsen (175,219 inhabitants and an area of ​​137.65 km²) , customers from the Moravian – Silesian metropolis can ride a little cheaper. According to the Uber application, the basic prices look like this:

Ostrava :

  • Basic fare (boarding rate) – 20 CZK
  • Price per kilometer driven – 23 CZK
  • Price per minute of waiting – 3 CZK (when waiting longer than 2 minutes)
  • Minimum fare: 90 CZK

Pilsen:

  • Basic fare (rate for entry) – 25 CZK
  • Price per kilometer of drive – 27 CZK
  • Price per minute of waiting – 3 CZK (when waiting longer than 2 minutes)
