Young Writing the Future Scholarship 2021: requirements, how much is the payment and how to register

Hand in hand with the Government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador , the National Coordination of Becas para el Bienestar Benito Juárez (CNBBBJ) does not rest on its objective of achieving the permanence of hundreds of students in Mexico who have been heavily affected by the pandemic. The authorities are aware of the serious internal crisis left by the coronavirus, which is why the ‘Young People Writing the Future Grant’ program was launched. What are the requirements and how to register to access this benefit? The details in the following paragraphs.

In accordance with the call of the CNBBBJ , the amount to receive in the scholarship is 2,400 pesos per month, the same that will be paid bimonthly. In short, every two months 4,800 pesos will be awarded to thousands of students in Mexico . It is also important to note that the scholarship will be available from September 1 to September 30.

Young People Writing the Future Scholarship: requirements

The CNBBBJ has requested all students to apply for the call for the scholarship to comply with the following requirements:

• Be enrolled in the school modality in any institution Higher Education Public.
• Be a maximum of 29 years of age before December 31, 2020.
• Applicants enrolled in any of the following institutions are exempt from age requirements: Intercultural Universities; Indigenous Normal Schools; Normal Schools that teach the model of intercultural education; Rural Normal Schools; Universidades para el Bienestar Benito Juárez and Universidad de la Salud de la CDMX y Puebla.
• The students must have an estimated monthly per capita income less than the Poverty Income Limit (LPI).
• They should not have received any other financial support provided by any agency or entity of the federal public administration simultaneously.
• Students must enter the registration of their application in the SUBES system: https://subes.becasbenitojuarez.gob.mx .

How much is the payment of the Young Writing the Future Scholarship?

The The amount to be received by the young people who are accepted in this scholarship will be $ 9,600 Mexican pesos, which will be distributed in two periods:

• September – October 2021: $ 4800 pesos.
• No November – December 2021: $ 4800 pesos.

Young People Writing the Future Scholarship: how to register?

If you wish to enroll in this new program, We remind you that registration will be enabled until Thursday, September 30. To carry it out you must access the following Internet page: https://subes.becasbenitojuarez.gob.mx/ .

If you do not have an account, you must create one. Here you will be asked for CURP, email and password. Then, you will have to activate your school record where ‘School information’ appears in the ‘Profile’ menu.

Once the data has been filled in, you must choose the institution you go to and click on ‘Activate’. In the ‘Request scholarship’ section a section will appear where it says ‘Available programs’. Here you will have to search for the corresponding Scholarship, filling in the questionnaire.

Beneficiaries of the Youth Writing the Future Scholarship

The purpose of this support is to help the students who are selected with the scholarship, so that they can continue with their studies with less difficulties. Of course, the program will be aimed at students who are enrolled in a priority institution of Higher Education of the National Educational System and that this is in a condition of poverty or vulnerability.

In the same way, for all those who are of indigenous or Afro-descendant origin, as well as for those who live in areas with high rates of violence. These are the universities and schools that are part of the program:

• Universities for Well-being Benito Juárez.
• University of the Health of the CDMX and the state of Puebla.
• Schools located in indigenous or highly marginalized localities and / or municipalities.
• Federal and state public Normal Schools.
• Antonio Narro Autonomous Agrarian University.
• Autonomous University of Chapingo.
