V nedeljo popoldan se je v bližini Salzburga v Avstriji zgodila huda prometna nesreča.

Približno ob 17. uri je bila policija v Oberndorfu obveščena o prometni nesreči na lokalni cesti ob reki Salzach. Po prvih ugotovitvah salzburške policije, je 35-letni voznik najverjetneje trčil v leseno ograjo ob bregu reke in s precejšnjo hitrostjo zapeljal v vodo. Močan tok reke je manjši rdeč avto odnesel po strugi, tako da reševalci niso takoj našli avtomobila. Čez nekaj minut so ga našli, nad gladino reke je bilo videti le streho avta, so reševalci povedali za ORF. Potapljači so najprej iz avta rešili tri osebe, gasilci pa so nato avto potegnili na breg reke.
35-letni voznik in njegova 30-letna žena, oba iz Sirije, sta bila mrtva. Avto je bil vendarle skoraj eno uro pod mrzlo vodo. Njunega dvoletnega sina so s helikopterjem odpeljal do bolnišnice v Salzburgu, od koder pa so kmalu sporočili, da mu zaradi hudih poškodb niso mogli pomagati.
