המשקיע המיליארדר ג’ורג’ סורוס רכש נתח של כ-2% ממניות של יצרנית הטנדרים והמשאיות החשמליים ריביאן (Rivian) ברבעון האחרון של 2021, והפך בתוך כך לאחד המשקיעים הגדולים ביותר בחברה. כך לפי הדיווח הרבעוני על החזקות חברת ההשקעות שלו.

סורוס פאנד מנג’מנט החזיקה נכון לסוף הרבעון הרביעי 19,835,761 מניות של ריביאן, ששוויין באותה העת היה כ-2.1 מיליארד דולר, לפי טופס F13 שהגישה החברה לרשות ני”ע בארה”ב (SEC) ביום שישי.

עם זאת, נכון לסגירת המסחר ביום שישי, התכווץ שווי מניות ריביאן שבבעלות סורוס לכ-1.17 מיליארד דולר, לאחר שמניית החברה נפלה ב-43% מתחילת השנה.
