רשויות המס בבריטניה מסרו היום (ב’) כי תפסו לראשונה בפשיטה אסימונים דיגיטליים ייחודיים (NFT), אשר על פי החשד שמשו להעלמת כספים.

רשות המסים והמכס של בריטניה החרימה שלושה NFT – קיצור של Non-Fungible Tokens – במהלך חקירת ניסיון הונאה שכלל גניבת כספי ציבור בשווי 1.4 מיליון ליש”ט (1.9 מיליון דולר). נכסי קריפטו נוספים בשווי 5,000 ליש”ט הוחרמו גם הם. 

החקירה הובילה למעצרם של שלושה אנשים, החשודים בהונאת מס באמצעות 250 חברות מזוייפות.

לדברי ניק שארפ, סגן דירקטור פשעים כלכליים ברשות המסים, שוויים של ה-NFT עוד לא הוערך. עוד הוסיף כי המעצר צריך להיות תמרור אזהרה – לכל מי שהאמין שיוכל להחביא כספים…
