Do this today, so that happiness will follow you throughout 2022!

The Chinese New Year symbolizes a new beginning, the release of everything negative in the previous year and attracting new wishes and positive changes

Lunar 2022 will be in the sign of Water Tiger, which means that water as an element will soften and bring a softer line to the great Tiger. Predictions say that next year will not be unstable, but it will be dynamic and important changes can be expected.

Leading the tiger, it means a year of increased ambition, driving energy, strength and ingenuity.

According to the feng shui tradition, there are several things and rituals that attract happiness to the home during the Chinese New Year – here’s what you should do:

1. Before the Chinese New Year, clean the whole house and throw away unnecessary things that take up space and draw energy. On Chinese New Year’s Day, nothing is cleaned or wiped. Brooms, brushes and rags are removed from the side because it is believed that by cleaning on this day we can “sweep away our happiness”.

2. Highlight things in red, orange or yellow at home. Decorate your home with red decorations because it is believed that warm colors on New Year’s Eve bring happiness, optimism and good energy.

3. In the southeastern part of the home, which is considered the corner of wealth, make your own corner of abundance. Put in it a krasula or some other feng shui plant that is believed to attract money. Put the coins in a glass jar and place them in the corner. You can write affirmations on paper to attract abundance and put in this corner, but also make a vase of wealth.

4. It is customary to make a “flag of wishes” at midnight. Write 9 wishes for the coming year on rectangular paper and hang a leaf on a tree in your yard or outside. It is believed that the wind will carry the “flag of desire” to the sky as soon as possible, that they will come true as soon as possible.

5. According to the belief, you should have “happy” fruits on the table, that is, symbolic fruits. Oranges symbolize gold, grapes gain, pineapple endless prosperity, and lemon protection from negative vibrations.

6. True communion – there should be a plate with eight types of snacks on the table. The most common are peanuts, walnuts, almonds and dried fruits. This detail on the table symbolizes progress and abundance, but also delicious service for family and guests.

7. Energy cleansing – the usual burning of incense, sage and saffron with the sounds of the Tibetan bell is believed to cleanse the home of negative energy.

8.Flowers – As a symbol of new birth, on Chinese New Year every home there should be flowers in bloom. It is most often bamboo – a plant that signifies flexibility, progress and balance.

9. Paper decorations – In China, families decorate their homes with cut red paper decorations for the New Year. Most often, they are ornaments in the form of the word “fu” which means happiness, but also ornaments in the form of a sign in which the year we are waiting for – in this case it is a tiger.
