Love Is Blind Season 3 Is Happening—Here’s Everything We Know

Netflix, sometimes, knows when it has a hit. And Love Is Blind is undeniably a hit.

While there’s still a bit of internal weeping when we think of all the great original shows that never got a season two or series finale, that won’t be the case with its popular reality dating show Love Is Blind. Back in 2020, after a successful first season of pure binge-worthy drama, the streaming service confirmed that we would get seasons two and three. The second aired this month and just wrapped its finale on February 25. So here’s hoping that season three will be less of a wait this time. To be clear, it is still definitely happening—it’s been cast and even finished filming.

So if you’re just as obsessed with the show as us and can’t seem to get enough, keep reading for everything we know about Love Is Blind season three.

When does Love Is Blind season 3 premiere?

Unfortunately, we don’t have a confirmed premiere date. However, the hope of a 2023 or even a late-2022 (fingers crossed) release date isn’t out of the question, especially now that COVID restrictions for filming have become laxer due to higher vaccination rates. This is pure speculation, but a late-2022 premiere could be possible: Vanessa Lachey, who hosts the show with her husband, Nick Lachey, said in an interview with Hollywood Life that they started filming seasons two and three at the same time.

In another interview with E News! in September 2021, she shared that Netflix had already completed filming both seasons. “So we shot season two, that’s gonna come out February 2022, and I don’t know—am I allowed to say? We shot season three already,” she said.

What can we expect from season 3?

The premise of the show will like stay the same: Couples will date in pods without seeing each other, with the hope of marriage at the end. And you’ll still probably be on edge wondering who will end up with whom.

That said, there could be some new twists and turns. Show creator Chris Coelen said in an interview with Metro U.K., “Every season is totally unique. Season three is a very different being than either season one or season two.” Coelen adds that even he is surprised by the endings. “A lot of times, I think I know what’s going to happen and I certainly have a feeling, but I will tell you that there have been quite a few times where I’ve been completely wrong,” he shared.

Who is the cast of Love Is Blind season 3?

There is no official cast announcement yet, but there is a large push online for Love Is Blind to increase its diversity with its contestants—not just in regard to cultural backgrounds but body size as well. Each season the cast depends on who’s living in the city where it films. Season one was set in Atlanta, while season two was set in Chicago. No news yet on where season three was filmed.

So what should we watch while we wait?

Netflix has got a good thing going for them with the surplus of dating shows on the platform, including the international expansion of Love Is Blind with Love Is Blind: Japan and Love Is Blind: Brazil. If you’re urging for more love-related drama or just need another meme to send friends, check out these new shows on Netflix.

Dog Plays Fast and Loose with the Wounds of War

With a title as blunt and unadorned as Dog (in theaters February 18), a film could go in any number of directions. Dog of War would limit it to something brute and militaristic. That Darn Dog would evoke a madcap comedy. And The Power of the Dog is, of course, already taken. The filmmakers of…
