Cele: Police should always assist GBV victims

MAHIKENG – Police allegedly fail to assist some victims of gender-based violence when they report being victims of crimes.

Police Minister Bheki Cele says police should always assist victims.

He says they should not be advising victims to negotiate with their abusers.

Cele was responding to residents’ complaints in Mahikeng in the Northwest.
