SA Weather | Boat evacuations suspended in Breede Valley

CAPE TOWN – Extreme weather is not abating in the Western Cape and certain areas are under evacuation.

Nearly 400 residents have been evacuated from Rawsonville and Worcester informal settlements after their homes were submerged.

Families in Klipheuwel and  Kannetvlei in the Breede Valley Municipality are stranded and boat evacuations have been suspended because of the Hex River’s high flow.

This occurs while rains continue to wreak havoc on inhabitants of low-lying communities.
