Minister of Health: “We will allocate tens of millions to support innovative initiatives in health”

Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz announced last week at the HealthIL 2021 conference, dedicated to technological innovation in the field of health, that his office will allocate tens of millions of shekels to health organizations – hospitals and health funds – to promote the establishment of infrastructure for research and development in digital health.

Horowitz noted that he and his office recognize the importance of innovation in health for the Israeli health system: “The digital health field is already here and Israel should and can be a world leader in the field. Those involved in this field need a boost. “

According to an initiative by the Ministry of Health, the Innovation Authority and the Digital Israel Headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Industry, it was determined that health organizations will receive a total grant of NIS 55 million for digital health development.
