ROME—Pope Francis lamented the social impact of the pandemic, including rising loneliness and domestic violence, while reiterating his previous calls for equitable distribution of Covid-19 vaccines.
The pope made his remarks Saturday in his annual Christmas message “to the city and the world,” in which he typically surveys wars and humanitarian crises around the world.
