Official: Budkowski leaves Alpine F1 with immediate effect

Alpine F1 Team and Marcin Budkowski, Alpine F1 Team Executive Director, today announced their decision to end their collaboration with immediate effect. Laurent Rossi will temporarily manage the team.

“I would like to thank Marcin Budkowski for his commitment and his contribution to the team’s results over the past 4 years. “ said Rossi. “The team is fully focused on preparing the car for the first race in Bahrain and improving the performance.”

Marcin Budkowski does not hold a grudge against the French team: “I enjoyed being part of the management team of Renault then Alpine F1 Team and working with such talented and committed people . I will carefully follow the progress of the team in the coming seasons.”

This gives way to Otmar Szafnauer. Aston Martin F1 announced last week the departure of its former director, who was rumored to be sent to Alpine. Despite all the energy he has deployed in denying the facts, Szafnauer seems to be taking the direction of Enstone.
