Jaru pioneer Geraldo Paixão dies in Machadinho

The pioneer Geraldo Paixão, 86 years old, died on the night of this Thursday (13), in Machadinho D’Oeste. He was hospitalized at the Municipal Hospital of Machadinho and died around 8:10 pm of natural causes.

Mr. Geraldo lived in Jaru from 1973 to 2000, having lived for several years in a property on Line 625, Km 10, and later moved to the city, where he worked running a bar in front of the Eucatur garage. He currently resides in Machadinho.

His body is being veiled at the family’s residence, located at Rua Roraima, n° 3952, in Bairro União, in Machadinho, and burial is scheduled for 3 pm this Friday (14), at the Municipal Cemetery.

Geraldo Paixão was a widower and leaves 7 children, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, in addition to several friends.
