The CA mirror is made of acrylic and comes in two types: blue ginbe jet and cherry-colored “Sakura jinbei”. The illustration of the aircraft was designed on the back side and processed so that it would not come off.
JTA’s airport store “Coralway” at two airports, Naha and Ishigaki, will be sold online as well as in-flight stores. The price including tax is 1100 yen per item.
The flight attendants of the Japan Airlines (JAL / JL, 9201) group to which JTA belongs carry a CA mirror when they are on board. According to Comey, it was developed as a portable hand mirror about 7 years ago at the request of JAL flight attendants. When the flight attendants check the “emergency equipment gauge” before the flight, it is said that the gauge is used in places where it is difficult to read.
Comey has been working on the “FF Mirror AIR” mirror for checking for lost or suspicious items installed on the baggage storage shelves on board, and has been adopted by airlines since 1997. So far, more than 100 companies around the world have introduced it.
