The dangerous side of ESG and other market reflections, with Ruy Alves

COUNTY OF FARIA LIMA – After seven Welcome to Coffee & Stocks, we finally received Ruy Alves, global macro manager at Kinea, on the “main stage” of Stock Pickers.

Commenting on several current issues and some very controversial ones, A manager who started his career at KPMG in the 1990s spoke about the dilemma between ESG and the need for energy, the cooling of the Chinese economy and the view of foreign investors about Brazil.

Despite criticisms of the way in which some face the issue of energy transition today, Alves considered that the direction is correct, but social responsibility must also be taken into account, because a poorly made transition can generate negative impacts on the lives of millions of people.
