Afghan acquitted of allegations of manslaughter against Taliban fighters

Klagenfurt – A 28-year-old Afghan was acquitted of manslaughter on Tuesday at the Klagenfurt Regional Court. The man had stated in the asylum procedure that he had shot four Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. In front of the lay judge’s senate, however, he rowed back and said that he had only said this in order to have a better chance in the asylum procedure. The court believed this version.
