The company decided to push the price up significantly, to the level of MSRP USD 379. Meanwhile, October has started, and we are approaching the presentation of another graphics card, this time in the form of the Radeon RX 6600. As we already informed in September, the debut of the weaker RDNA 2 chip was scheduled for October 13, then we should read not only the reviews, but also learn final price. Meanwhile, we got to know all the details of the technical specifications, as well as the performance compared to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 card.

As we wrote earlier, the NAVI 23 graphics chip in the AMD Radeon RX 6600 card will not differ in any way from what has been presented so far in variants for laptops and workstations. AMD Radeon RX 6600 will be based on the mentioned chip with 1792 stream processors and a maximum of 8 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit bus. The mere designation “Up to 8 GB” means that in the future there may also be slightly cheaper versions of the card, but equipped with 4 GB VRAM. There will also be 32 MB of Infinity Cache and 28 Ray Accelerators for hardware acceleration. and Ray Tracing calculations. As for the core clock, in Game mode it is 2044 MHz, while in Boost mode it reaches 2491 MHz. The reduction compared to the Radeon RX 6600 XT also results in a lower TBP – instead of 160 W it will be exactly 132 W.

Radeon is slightly more noticeable than NVDII in games with Ray Tracing enabled – on average it is a 13% weaker card, while the biggest difference revealed in the AMD documentation concerns Battlefield V, where it is 31% in favor of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 card .
