ANA's A380 tours Okinawa and Amami to commemorate World Heritage registration

All Nippon Airways (ANA / NH) ) Conducted a scenic flight to and from Naha Airport on September 25, using the first aircraft (registration code JA381A) of the two-story super-large Airbus A380 “FLYING HONU”. The flight took about an hour and a half to fly over the four regions of Amami Oshima and Tokunoshima in Kagoshima Prefecture, which have been registered as UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Natural Heritage Sites, and northern Okinawa Island and Iriomote Island.

FLYING HONU, which means “flying sea turtle,” arrived from Narita to Naha on the 24th with a charter of 2 nights and 3 days. Participants in the sightseeing flight on the 25th were recruited separately from the flight from Narita.

The flight number for the sightseeing flight is the same as before, NH2030, with 253 passengers (including 3 infants) and 21 crew members (pilot). With 2 passengers and 19 flight attendants), we departed from Spot 100 at Naha Airport at 1:10 pm and took off from Runway 2 (RWY36L) at 12:52. At an altitude of about 21,000 feet (about 6400 meters), fly from Okinoerabujima to Amami Oshima via Tokunoshima, turn back in front of Amami Airport, and fly over Tokunoshima, Okinoerabujima, and Kumejima, and the second runway at Naha Airport. I landed at (RWY36L) at 3:21 pm and returned to Spot 100 at 12:30.

ANA’s A380 has 520 seats in 4 classes, 8 in first class, 56 in business class and 73 in premium economy. There are 383 seats and economy seats. The travel price for sightseeing flights is 79,800 yen for first class, 49,800 yen for business class window side, 39,800 yen for the aisle side, 39,800 yen for the premium economy window side, 29,800 yen for the aisle side, economy. The class window side was 29,800 yen, the aisle side wing was 22,800 yen, and the aisle side was 14,800 yen.

The return trip between Narita and Naha charter departs Naha around 3:00 pm on the 26th and arrives at Narita around 5:50 pm Expected to do.
