Ansan City Council Awarded 6 Youth Members for Proposing Excellent Agenda

Gyeonggi Ansan City Council held the ‘2021 Ansan Youth Council Excellent Agenda Award Ceremony’ to encourage youth lawmakers who proposed excellent items.

The awards ceremony held at the plenary hall on the 12th was attended by Chairman Park Eun-kyung and the Secretary General of the National Assembly and 6 winners of the Youth Council.

The council held the second plenary session of the youth council in December last year to present and review a total of 28 policy proposals. Ordinance related to use and parking’ (Myung-woo Lim/Sangnok-jung) was selected.

This policy plan was highly evaluated in terms of timeliness and effectiveness, as it included education on how to safely use electric mobility for citizens.

The Assembly also voted on the ‘Ordinance on the Expansion of Installation of Separate Collection bins for General Garbage and Recycling in Residential Areas in Ansan’ (Lee Soo-hyeon/Bon Five Middle School) and ‘Ansan City School Steering Committee Ordinance on Mandatory Student Participation’ ‘(Na Sang-bin / Ko Zan-go), ‘Ansan City Ordinance on Mandatory Regular Subjects in Environmental Education’ (Lee Ji-soo/Danwon High School), ‘Ansan City Ordinance on Voting Rights-related Education for High School Students’ (Jeong Jeong/Kyung) Ango), ‘Ansan City Taxi Transport Workers’ Safe Working Environment Improvement Ordinance’ (Great / Bon Five Middle School) was selected.

Last year, youth lawmakers have gone through elections for the National Assembly and the Presidency, as well as the plenary session and standing committee activities, and their overall evaluation of their policy proposals is also a thorough diagnosis of problems in the local community from the perspective of young people. It was generally positive in that the efforts to improve and improve were reflected.
