Barcelona are stepping up their offensive to attract Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen. It is no secret that the Catalans have a serious interest in the 25-year-old central defender. His contract with the Londoners expires at the end of the season and Barça are hoping to persuade him to head for Camp Nou, says journalist Gianluca di Marzio.
Chelsea make do everything possible to persuade Christensen to re-sign. At one point, there were reports that negotiations were going well and were expected to end positively. Even manager Thomas Tuchel said he expects “good news” about the defender soon. However, this did not happen.
Meanwhile, the Dane decided to change his agent at the end of December. So negotiations with Chelsea must start from scratch.
Christensen is a teenager for Chelsea and so far has 146 games for the club. He is currently treating a back injury. Since the beginning of the season, the Dane has recorded 13 games for the “blues”.
