British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has excused Monday in Parliament.
Promising to learn lessons but ruling out resigning, after the publication of an administrative report tackling “errors of leadership” in the Downing Street holiday scandal during confinement.
“I’m sorry for the things we just didn’t do right, and also sorry for the way the subject was handled,” the Conservative leader told MPs.
“I understand, and I will fix it,” he added, promising administrative changes in the management of Downing Street.
He assured that his government remained “trustworthy”, insisting on his post-Brexit achievements, the success of the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus or his response to the Ukrainian crisis.
“I will m ‘get down to business,’ he said, when he finds himself in a delicate position, calls for resignation having multiplied even in the ranks of the ma jorité.
A long-awaited report on the parties organized during the confinement at Downing Street, residence and offices of the British Prime Minister, concluded on Monday to “errors of leadership and judgment”, and felt that lessons should be learned “immediately”.
Claiming his head once again, the leader of the Labor opposition, Keir Starmer, on Monday described the Prime Minister as a “shameless man”.
