Carla Bruni becomes a model again for Olivier Rousteing's Balmain show

FASHION – Small event during Paris Fashion Week, this Wednesday, September 29. During the Balmain parade of Olivier Rousteing , presented at La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, Carla Bruni became a model again at 53 for an evening.

Before this return to a podium, the singer’s last experience in the modeling dates back to 2013, when she became the face of Italian luxury brand Bulgari. Her appearance, at a Versace show several years ago alongside other former supermodels, was also not gone unnoticed.

The show, organized as part of the presentation of the spring-summer 2022 collection, marked the ten years of creation of its current artistic director. On this occasion, more than 6,000 people attended the event.

“The crowd started screaming when they heard Beyoncé’s voice, she screamed almost as loud as Naomi Campbell paraded during the first archive capsule of ‘ten looks seen at the end ”, relates Vogue .

Naomi Campbell and Milla Jovovitch followed Carla Bruni’s footsteps. All three wore some of Olivier Rousteing’s favorite archival pieces.

As underlined by Vogue , the show was organized as a mini music festival with two concerts. A first from rapper Doja Cat, a second from rock band Franz Ferdinand. “A democratic demonstration of openness that will be difficult to surpass”, concludes the magazine.

The day before, Carla Bruni but also Charlotte Gainsbourg, Rossy de Palma or Catherine Deneuve had attended at the Saint Laurent parade at the Trocadéro .
