Is another Inter player moving to FCB?

FC Basel seems to be interested in another striker in the ranks of Inter Milan: Like the Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that FCB have sent feelers to Martin Satriano (20)

stretched out. The Uruguayan-Italian centre-forward has only made four short appearances at Inter and could be loaned out. Apparently Stade Brest from the French Ligue 1 is also interested in Satriano. For FC Basel, a commitment by Satriano would be particularly interesting if Torgarant Arthur Cabral (23) were to leave the club in winter.

The Franco-Congolese central defender Chrislain Matsima from AS Monaco. This is reported by the football portal RMC. The 19-year-old has played three times for the Monegasques and is also to be loaned out. The RC Strasbourg from France’s upper house should also be interested in Matsima. (daf)

Cedric Itten’s loan in Fürth ends earlier than thought

Swiss national team striker Cedric Itten returns to Glasgow Rangers earlier than planned. The Scots are exercising a repatriation option, effective immediately, such as the «kicker» reports on Wednesday. The 25-year-old from Basel was loaned to Greuter Fürth. The loan from the German Bundesliga club was supposed to last until the end of the season.

Itten was last on the bench in Fürth. He hasn’t played in the last two games. Although Itten scored two goals in twelve appearances for Greuther Fürth, coach Stefan Leitl did without the striker. According to the “kicker”, this is related to the change in the system: After the miserable start to the season of the Bundesliga promoted, coach Leitl is currently focusing on a more stable defense. The offensive game suffers as a result and Itten was no longer in demand as a penalty area clipper who has to be served with balls. The former FCB striker is just one of three players at Fürth who have scored more than one goal this season.

Another former Basler should now step into the breach: Afimico Pululu switched from Rotblau to Fürth last week. (daf)

Cvetkovic from GC to Aarau

The Grasshoppers and central defender Aleksandar Cvetkovic are terminating the contract with immediate effect by mutual agreement. The 26-year-old Serb continues his career in Switzerland with FC Aarau, second in the Challenge League. He signed for FCA for six months.

Cvetkovic joined the Grasshoppers in 2018 and last season as captain led the Zurich team to promotion to the Super League. In the current championship, however, he was only once in the starting eleven, at the end of July against the Young Boys. (sda)
