Another manga spinoff is on the way to expand the world of Akane Shimizu’s Cells at Work! series. The latest is Cells at Work! Illegal (Hataraku Saibou Illegal), which is set to launch on the YanMaga website on February 1.

Manga author Kae Hashimoto revealed plans for the series, which is set to debut new chapters on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Stay tuned for more about the series as we approach its inaugural chapter.

Akane Shimizu’s Cells at Work! manga first kicked off in the pages of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine back in March 2015, and ran until January 2021. In addition to a TV anime adaptation for both it and spinoff manga Cells at Work! Code Black, other titles include Cells at Work: Bacteria!, Cells at Work!: Neo Bacteria!, Cells at Work! White Brigade, Cells at Work! Baby, Cells NOT at Work!, Cells at Work and Friends!, and Cells at Work: Platelets!.
