Among the Romanians present at the Dakar Rally is Cătălin Ștefan Ion, known to the public as Cheloo, one of the members of the band Paraziții. This is the co-pilot of Mihai Ban. The Hummer of the two finished the stage on the 66th place, at 02 h 23 min 16 sec by the winner Orlando Terranova.

Saturday will be a break day and on Sunday the seventh stage is scheduled, Riyadh – Al Dawadimi, 701 km long, of which 402 km are timed.
Cheloo has a passion for 4X4 cars and off road competitions. He first entered the national championship in 2006 in addition to the national championship. Since then and until now he has had several participations as a pilot and co-pilot, together with established pilots. In 2021, Chello was also part of the Transilvania Rally Team.
