First unit of the 70th Anniversary edition of the Chevrolet Corvette will be auctioned soon, with the proceeds going to Operation Homefront
Chevrolet is getting ready to start celebrations of the birthday of one of the most famous sportsmen in the United States. Currently in its eighth generation, the Corvette will complete its 70th anniversary in 2023 and will be entitled to a very special commemorative edition.
The set of new features can be added to the Corvette Stingray but also the Z06, both in Coupé and Convertible versions, starting with specific body colors: the new White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic. In both cases, if the customer so desires, these options may receive the traditional longitudinal running strips in Satin Gray, in the case of white, or in Satin Black, in the case of gray.

The 70th Anniversary editions will have specific rim centers with a commemorative logo and, despite being different on the Stingray and the Z06, the edge of the rims will have a unique red stripe. And behind these, the brake calipers will also be painted red.

In the passenger compartment, the logos of the anniversary will be present on the seats, steering wheel and door sills, but a set of specific bags with the anniversary emblem will also be included; in addition to the sport seats specific to this version with red stitching, seat belts in the same color and Alcantara inserts in different areas of the seat and steering wheel. And finally, the anniversary editions will also have the engine cover painted red and a small logo engraved in the lower area of the rear window.

The first unit of this anniversary edition, with chassis number 001, will be a Z06 that can only be purchased at the Barrett-Jackson from Scottsdale on the 29th. It will be driven by former Corvette Racing driver Oliver Gavin, and the proceeds from this sale will be remitted to Operation Homefront.
That is a national not-for-profit organization focused on military families that helps ensure they have a stable and secure life in the communities they helped protect. Chevrolet has supported this organization since 2017, having even supplied seven Silverados to its regional offices and headquarters, in addition to having contributed funds for various services.
